When I first moved into my apartment after graduating college I was similar to most kids my age... broke. As someone who spent her last 4 years of college sharing a bedroom, I was excited to finally have a space to myself that I could decorate as I pleased. However, when the girl moving out of the apartment offered to sell me her furniture for next to nothing, I realized that my perfect bedroom would have to wait. Despite my hopes of getting used to the harsh black furniture in my ultra feminine bedroom, after a few months of living there I decided to come up with a solution.
I did some research and sure enough, found a simple resolution: marble contact paper. I was nervous at first that the marble would look super fake, but after reading a bunch of product reviews I was sold. I ordered the paper from Amazon and two days later it arrived at my doorstep.
That evening I got to work! Before I started, I made sure to watch a tutorial on Youtube. The contact paper is very sticky and I wanted to make sure that I didn't make any mistakes while putting it down! I started with my bedside table which came out so well that immediately did my desk next! (Shown below!)
What's awesome about this DIY is that it only takes about 10 minutes and is dirt cheap (around $10.) Overall, I am thrilled with the final result! The contact paper totally transformed my bedroom and brightened things up! Once again, I highly recommend that you watch a few Youtube videos before trying this to ensure that your final product comes out perfect!
Here's What You'll Need:
+ Marble contact paper
+ A measuring tape or a ruler
+ A book (to get rid of any air bubbles!)
