Hooray! Spring has almost sprung! This oatmeal is a personal favorite of mine. It tastes delicious and fills me up for hours! I have always been obsessed with anything blueberry so if you are anything like me you will adore this recipe! For healthy substitutes try cutting down on the maple syrup or eliminate it entirely, the recipe will taste just as good!
What You’ll Need:
+ 1/3 cup of old fashioned oats
+ 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
+ 1 cup of almond milk or water
+ 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
+ 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
+ 1 tablespoon of maple sugar
+ a handful of crushed walnuts
+ Place the oats, blueberries, almond milk, chia seeds, vanilla extract and maple syrup into a small saucepan.
+ Bring the contents to a boil and cook on medium heat until most of the liquid is absorbed.
+ Top with walnuts and enjoy!
