In honor of Superbowl Sunday being right around the corner I decided to share my favorite hummus recipe today! Hummus is the perfect party dish because it is something that everyone can enjoy! Make a fun platter offering veggies like celery, carrots, cucumber, endives to dip and/or pita chips and pretzels! Whip up this easy recipe in under 5 minutes and be sure to let me know what you think! Allergy Note: This recipe is made with tahini which is paste made from crushed sesame seeds. If you need to sub out tahini for any reason use olive oil instead using the same measurements.
Ingredients: + 2 cups chickpeas (about 1 1/2 cans) + 2 large garlic cloves, minced + 1/4 cup tahini ( find this at any grocery store) + juice of 2 lemons + a few dashes of cayenne pepper or tabasco sauce + water
Directions: + Place all of the ingredients into a high speed blender or food processor and blend until creamy. If the hummus is too thick add water, tablespoon by tablespoon until the texture is right.
