Spinach Hummus


This is my go-to recipe for hummus! I love the way this hummus tastes and the fact that you can sneak in a little spinach without jeopardizing that creamy hummus taste! Hummus is the perfect snack if your trying to add in more veggies to your diet and a great alternative to some of the dairy based stuff out there like ranch dressing! By the way, the amount of money you save by making homemade hummus will make you fall in love with the stuff even more!

+ 2 garlic cloves minced
+ 2 cups canned chickpeas, drained (it will be about 1 1/2 cans)
+ 1 teaspoon salt
+ 1/3 cup tahini (made of crushed sesame seeds)
+ juice of 2 freshly squeezed lemons + a handful of spinach or more!
+ 1/4 cup or more water to add in if needed to blend
+ cayenne pepper for that extra spice!!

+ Mince the garlic and place drained chickpeas, salt, tahini, lemon juice and a handful of spinach into a blender or food processor. Add water as needed until the hummus is creamy.
+ As a final touch, sprinkle some cayenne pepper for that extra kick!
